[OOC: Susumu and Tatsu were also meeting at the docks, and Susumu is also interested in finding the twin bro of Kaoru- Maybe we can splice the two logs together (we can repost ours here or viceversa)? Team mixed Shinsengumi ftw.]

The blazing sun had become more prominent in the sky as morning broke into afternoon, shining down uncomfortably on the back of Tatsunosuke's dark yukata. He held a hand to his chest, taking in a deep, shaky breath as he vowed to remain calm. His throat was sore, his voice hoarse from yelling for Tetsu over and over again- the young man had only stopped out of strain a few minutes before Susumu's message. He wondered bitterly if he was really that predictable when it came to delicate matters.

Even though he had worked by Susumu long enough to know how he operated, his words still stung and he couldn't help but feel uncomfortably anxious to be seeing the familiar face soon. The last thing he wanted right now, was to be scolded and talked down to- especially when he had more important things to think about. One of which was making sure his younger brother was safe. That was his first priority, and as pathetic as some may think it- he was all Tatsu had. He couldn't imagine what he would do...if ( ... )

Tatsu better have listened to him. Susumu was in no mood to deal wth the hysteric accountant on his own. The night had been long, and his head was still feelng muddled from lack of sleep and the mellow high that the marijuana had cased. The pleasant effect of the drug were gone, leaving he ninja sore and unsure of he events of the previous night ( ... )

"Yamazaki-kun," Tatsu's voice betrayed any remaining uneasiness as he turned to acknowledge his former comrade. Despite any misgivings about Susumu's attitude, Tatsu was just so...relieved. Relieved to see a familiar face after the shock of waking up alone and lost. He wasn't sure how long the feeling of relief would last, but for now he tried to push the worries about his brother from his mind ( ... )

The walk there was shorter than Gintoki'd expected it to be, though actually finding the kid in that place was going to be slightly trickier. All he could see were had rows upon rows of boxes and the freelancer didn't know just which one to look in for Kagura, so he settled for scanning the area to see if he'd spot anything out of the ordinary instead.

It took a while, but when he finally spotted that flash of red among all the shades of brown and grey, there wasn't much doubt he'd found what he was looking for.

A closer look confirmed that yes, it really was the gorilla girl, just sleeping there like it was a normal thing to have your bed be the top of a box, and though he was relieved to have found her, what with all the kidnappings going on, he couldn't help being hit by that little pang of guilt at having let her stay out by herself for this long. Moving so he could lean over a little to block the sun from her face, the silver-haired samurai finally spoke.

"Oi, gorilla, time to wake up."

"Sukonbu!" Kagura screamed, sitting up and punching Gintoki.

"Are?" she asked, rubbing her eyes. "Gin-chan, what are you doing here? Where's my sukonbu?!"
