Lelouch moved along at a brisk pace, his journal in one hand, a pair of fairly large towels in the other, and a coil of rope over his shoulder. He supposed it was best that others were coming-- he wasn't all that physically impressive himself, and without help, he'd have to calculate angles and force vectors and leverage to get her out of the well. It would be, needless to say, a little embarrassing. Still, it was a good opportunity to get away from all the other thoughts whirling in his mind, all the complications of recent events, all the tangled relations he now had to deal with, and a chance at re-establishing a valuable ally.

Approaching the well and the man already standing there, Lelouch carefully placed the towels over his shoulder and pocketed the journal before placing the towels on a large, dry, nearby rock, leaving both hands free to deal with the rope.

"L, I presume?"

Of all the luck.
This stupid circumstance had to haunt her wherever she went. Falling down holes...who the hell fell down holes on a daily basis?! What made it worse was that she knew there wasn't anything she could do about getting out by herself. Usually, Sheena could muster up some sort of technique to use; something that Igaguri taught her himself, but no. Not in this damned world, where abilities are taken from you.

So she sat in the chilled water, glancing above at the light of day. A few times, she could spot Corinne's tail as he sat at the edge of the well, but he, too, was nervous about falling into the depths of the well, so he could only manage to be so close for so long. Sheena couldn't blame him, either. It was silent, cold, dark, and smelled weird down there.

After a little while had passed since she had last replied in the journals, Corinne called down a warning that someone was approaching. Finally. With a small shiver, Sheena looked above, expecting to see a head pop over the edge and look down at her. Sure enough, ( ... )

Falling down holes.
Presea wondered how Sheena managed to fall into holes at any given place during any given time. It was ridiculous, and furthermore, impossible from a logical viewpoint. The chances of someone falling into a hole or trap were relatively slim in comparison to other accidents. However, Sheena merely appeared to be unfortunate.

Presea found the well quickly, setting her journal down on the ground and moving to the two young men handling the rope. She recognized one, Lelouch, whom Zelos seemed to dislike for various reasons, and there was another, sickly-looking boy standing next to them. She would wait and see if either one would be able to lift Sheena out of the well before she offered any assistance, but given their physical appearances, she highly doubted either one would be able to do so.

Still, for now, she would observe. Appearance meant little in the grand scheme of things--after all, she resembled a twelve year old girl. She was in no position to judge.

L turned his head and nodded to Lelouch. "I see you brought the materials." He said monotonously. L eyed the rope. He was relieved that he was not alone. Sure, he knew how to fight but that ocmplimented his small stature. Really, he did not have much strength.

He nodded his head to Sheena even though she would not be able to see. Next, he noticed a small, pink haired child making her way towards the well. Presea, it was, if L remembered correctly. He dropped his journal by the others and glanced up at the other two. "So, how do you suppose is the most efficient way of doing this?" L questioned.

"Judging by physical appearance alone, I don't think any single one of us would be able to lift her on our own without first calculating the variables and finding the method which maximizes leverage to lift her, but that would waste time, especially given how cold the water down there is. Perhaps if the three of us worked together ( ... )
