Cirucci was pissed. Sure, though her mask had fallen off, she found it repaired and back in its rightful place along her hairline, but she was still pissed. Her pride had taken a large blow not that long ago, and she knew, just knew that the damned Quincy ruined her. Not only did the bastard not finish her off, but he left her powerless - she didn't even have the strength or ability to fire off a Cero ( ... )

The sun was ablaze, providing the perfect amount of illumination for the beautiful scenery. Rise'd done a lot of traveling in her time; as 'Risette', mind you, but this island had a different air about it. She couldn't quiet tell if she liked it or not.

As the boat trudged into the bay, a dazzling beach lay in wait, glimmering against the sun.

Maybe she would be filming something here? Or a photo shoot?
Nahh, that's not right. She was supposed to return to showbiz in the spring, and it had still been November. Little did she know that that had only pertained to her own world.

Before stepping off the wooden planks of the boat, the pigtailed-girl got the chance to look around, noticing all of the...strange looking people on board.

...This had to be a movie set.

Sora had only been partially lying when he had said he was heading toward the docks. He had been heading toward the docks, but only because he wanted to see the beach. Ironically enough, he had been going to the beach to pretend like Kairi was going to wake him up so actually Sora wasn't lying at all. At least, in his own mind he wasn't.

As he walked onto the docks and located the ship though, Sora paused and took a deep breath. Don't say anything weird. That was always a bad thing it seemed like. Don't mention the last Kairi. It would only confuse Kairi and that's not what Sora wanted to do at all. Besides, it might make this Kairi sad and that was even worse.

With one last deep breath, Sora found the ship and walked toward it. He scanned the crowd before locating a familiar head of red hair. There weren't that many people around and there certainly weren't that many who looked like Kairi.

"Kairi," Sora called, "over here!"

If Shilo had been excited when Mag showed up, it was nothing compared to how she felt now. Dad was okay. The vision must have been lying, because he was alive and well and here and she thought she might cry.

Not to mention the arrival of someone she'd never really expected to see again. "Graverobber, Graverobber," she sang quietly to herself. "Sometimes I wonder why I need you at all..."

And here she was, Dad's orders or no. She'd actually be able to show him that she was well, and the thought only heightened her excitement. She searched the crowd on the docks for the glint of Nathan's glasses, a glimpse of Graverobber's color-streaked hair. "Dad?" she called, standing on tiptoe to get a better look.

Shilo was safe. He didn't understand how, he didn't understand why, but at that very moment, he didn't particularly care. He'd figure it all out later, once he had found his way out of this damn Repo Man suit and into some more local clothing, and then found his way to Shilo. He couldn't let her see him like this, not now ( ... )

He would have recognized that voice anywhere. Unreasonable knowledge of all the city's characters aside, the young Wallace's voice had a distinct ring to it, a charming innocence that he could have picked out out of any crowd. And besides, she was singing his name, and it would only be rude to ignore her.

But the girl had already found her father, it seemed, and it looked like it would be best for the Graverobber to sit back and watch from the sidelines.

"Out from the mist, and the dark, steps the figure
No longer bound by his own misery..."

And his voice, low and soft, passed from his lips, which were smiling as he watched the pair. It would be an interesting stay, to be sure, here with a whole new cast that the Graverobber new next to nothing about.

"And now our debts are clear,
Should we live in fear of the Repo-man?"

short tag is short and late, as per usual. needleinabug February 9 2009, 23:20:36 UTC
Shilo jumped slightly at the voice just behind her, then spun around, a smile nearly splitting her face. "Dad!" And then she was clinging to him, burying her face in his chest, letting tears of mingled joy and relief roll down her pale cheeks. "I'm so glad you're here..." she murmured.

All the worries of the past few months seemed to melt away - all the fright and sadness that seemed to be present in the very air here, the almost constant disappearances and injuries. Even her frustration with him from before she'd arrived in Rivelata seemed no longer important. The smell of disinfectant, that unmistakably Dad smell, filled her nostrils. As long as he was here with her, that little girl inside Shilo's heart felt that everything would turn out all right.
