Kasa stalked up the beach with all the grace of a cat. Dressed all in black and with her dark hair swirling around her, she seemed almost to melt into the shadows. She looked up at the tree. It had drawn her curiosity immediately, but after speaking to C.C., she had refrained from exploring until the others were out of her way. She had not the patience to deal with foolhardy children like them, not when the possibility of a war was looming. Her mouth curved into a wicked smile at the thought. The Godking himself. C.C. arrived, dressed in her black uniform - the outfit she had avoided wearing during her stay here, except for moments like these. It was seldom as appropriate as it was now, just as the mask and cloak Lelouch now wore were seldom seen on Rivelata's streets. But she wore it now, and upon seeing Zero she knew it was a proper choice.

"It seems we will be fighting together sooner than expected," she said, with a nod to Kasa. The witch might have been worried... they were a smaller group this time, but they were also fighting a much weaker Godking. From the visions, C.C. knew he could still transform, but he lacked a complete memory and the guardians of his temple. She only hoped it would be enough. Looking to Zero, she waited for the warlock to take the lead.

Yuuko had visited the tree earlier, she had decided not to climb it. She had stayed awake long into the night, getting all the information that she could from the journals, and had seen Kasa leaving. Yuuko had guessed her destination, and had decided to join the others. She did not normally involve herself in the wars of any world, but this was something that affected far more than just one world, especially since this gateway had opened in the sky.

She arrived on the beach just after Kasa. Like the other members of the group, she was wearing her costume, and was carrying her own weapons: her tessen and her crystal. She nodded to each of them, but didn't say anything. Now was not the time for playful banter.

It had been a while since she had been forced to fight. Sure, she had some minor scuffles since she got here, but nothing so important and dangerous as this. She had witnessed the others of the island fight off the Godking and his minions, manipulating even people that her friends once trusted to do his bidding, crushing the spirits and hearts of many, including her boss, Lelouch ( ... )
