"Well then, perhaps you'd care to assist me," she said, indicating the kettle visible in the kitchen.

Hanekoma made a 'show the way' gesture and said, "It would be my pleasure."

Following her into the kitchen, he moved to see what exactly she needed him to do.

She led him into the kitchen. "I appreciate your assistance in making the cocoa. It will go faster with the two of us."

Hanekoma followed Yuuko into the kitchen, and began setting everything up for making the cocoa with the air of a professional. After all, he'd had quite a lot of time to master the preparation of any number of beverages.

"I couldn't agree more. It's amazing how much people can accomplish simply by working together."

The kettle ready Hanekoma began the process of actually making the cocoa.

"I must say, this is a lovely shop you have here."

"Thank you," she said, "A friend and I were going to go into business here, but he's gone now."

Hanekoma nodded as he carefully monitored to cocoa, making sure to keep all the components balanced. "I heard that happens around here. People enter your lives, change them forever, then leave, like a microcosm of real life."

He grinned a bit and said, "I've found myself in a similar situation, with a friend and I working to open a coffee shop."

She paused, thinking about what he'd said. She had seen that happen often enough, both in Rivelata and at home.

"Is that so?"

Hanekoma grinned and said, "Why yes, after all, it would be irrisponsible of me to let this place languish without the joy of coffee if it was in my power to give it to them. I'm a buisness man to the core."

He contemplated the pot for another second, then with a excited smirk said, "I'm just interested in what other new worlds I'll encounter here..."

She smiled at him. "You'll encounter plenty of different worlds here, I'm sure."

"I can only hope so," he replied with a smile.

Turning back he saw that the cocoa was finished, and proceeded to start pouring mugs of the drink. "So, how do you take yours?"

"With just a little bit of cream, thank you," she said.

He quickly added a bit of cream and presented the mug to Yuuko with a bit of a flourish. "I hope it is to your liking madam," he added with a wink.

Yuuko smiled and accepted the cup. She took a sip. It was very much to her liking.

"Thank you," she said.

Taking his own mug with a bit of a smirk he nodded and said, "My pleasure, here's to thriving business." With that he held up his mug.

Yuuko clinked her mug against his gently.

"Well, we should take the drinks out to the others, shouldn't we?" she said, glancing at the teenagers in the cafe.
