Kanda wasn't doing anyone a favor. He was just starving and getting free food. He still had some money left but not enough. His stubborn pride kept him from believing he would stay in this strange place for longer; therefore, he refused to find a decent place to reside.

Anything that would give the slightest hint or idea that he was permanently residing in Rivelata, he discarded.

He had to swallow his pride to accept the offered food. His humanity for once, winning over.

Kanda let out an angry sigh as he made his way to the 'pizzeria' whatever that was. He just hoped that whatever food was waiting for him didn't involve any sugar. It was already hard to find a decent place to eat. No such luck finding anyone that would cook soba noodles like Jerry did for him.

He arrived to his destination and rose his eyes from his journal. He rose a hand to knock on the door.

Thinking she had heard a knock, Tsubaki opened to back entrance door.

"Ah, Kanda-san! How prompt." Smiling at him, Tsubaki ushered him in, motioning to the cooling pizza slice. Then she turned around and pulled out another steaming pizza. Reaching in carefully, she pulled out another. Then she went down the cooking aisle to the next big oven and pulled out three more. Reaching the last large oven, she smothered the flames so that the another three pizzas could just stay heated inside.

Cutting one slice from each pizza, Tsubaki ended up with two different types of cheese and three different types of meat pizza slices. "Thank you very much for agreeing to help me, Kanda-san. I truly appreciate it!" Tsubaki said happily, bringing the pizza.

Once the door opened, the scent of freshly baked bread, cheese and-- whatever else there was, immediately overcame him. He stepped inside and watched as Tsubaki finished bringing him the pizza.

"It's nothing..."

In the meantime, he approached the table where the other slice resed and looked at it with both curiosity and a mild hint of disgust. Kanda wasn't one open to eat just anything but soba and tempura.
However, much to his not-so-surprise, once Tsubaki brought the second slice, his stomach growled.

"What... is this?"
