"Tch, I was always a real function," said Sho, "I'm just fine. And not finite, either."

"By the way," he added, perhaps a little sourly. "Your little equation had an error in it which I was unable to correct. Mostly 'cause my coordinates got shifted to here."

He shrugged. "It's a high probability that I'm better off without it anyway."

He completely ignored Joshua, practically talking over the Composer. Just becuase he'd come to respect the guy a bit more didn't mean he had to like the blond boy.

Lockon took notice of the other two figures he had seen around Rivelata. They've never stopped to greet each other, but he knew their faces and some of their entries on the journal.
"So I take they're friends of yours?" He smirked. "Good, then I won't keep you. Just wanted to make sure you had someone that would guide you around this place. It's a bit strange when you're new."

He half-turned to walk away and gestured a goodbye with his hand. "See ya." And nodding to the other two, he left to walk for some more time before going house-hunting.

Hanekoma nodded to the stranger and said, "Well I appreciate the kind offer. If you ever need a quality cup of coffee be sure to look me up. Name's Sanae Hanekoma."

Waving to the man as he left, he turned back to Joshua said, "Really now? Well such is the burden of the small business owner. Still, I should be able to make up for it, after all, things never stay boring around you for long boss."

He raised an eyebrow when Sho claimed that there had been a flaw in his Taboo equation. While in truth there had been a flaw, Hanekoma had fixed it before Sho's final confrontation with Joshua and Neku. Apparently this Sho was never reborn as a Taboo Noise. In a way, that was probably for the best. It was unlikely anyone could truly fix the damage caused by that equation. Now Hanekoma had a chance to begin to make things right with Sho, maybe treat him like a real student, rather than a backup plan. He'd just have to see ( ... )

"It would be terrible if it did." Joshua didn't cope well with boredom. He might do something drastic like, oh, destroy whole sections of cities.

"And we actually have quite the crew here. There have been a few recent... absences, but Neku, Rhyme, Konishi, and Uzuki are all here," he continued, "Oh, as well as the Shiki from that Tin Pin world. I'm sure you remember that." He was well aware of the frustration he had probably caused.

Saitani-ya rarely had deliveries to the dock, but apparently some of the dock-workers wanted a carton of mustard. After what seemed like hours, Neku finally arrived there, carrying the carton like a backpack with some ropes. He found the delivery location, took the man's money, and then heard his own name.

Confused, Neku turned to see Joshua talking to Sho, Mr. H, and a person he hadn't seen before.

And then he realized that it was Mr. H. Neku gasped audibly, before rushing over to the gathered group. "Mr. H!!" he cried, probably beaming (he would deny it later) - but after losing Beat and Kariya, the arrival of Neku's hero was a ray of hope
