Spider-Man felt like he was gearing up for something. Spider Sense was still abysmally low in reaction time, so he wasn't sure whether a real threat was lurking around the corner, or it was his own paranoia acting up.

Whatever the case, he kept double-checking his webshooters. Both wrists had a full cartridge attached, and as much as he didn't like the primitive materials he'd used to make new webbing, it was better than nothing. The new webbing was still as sticky, but it dissolved faster and couldn't adapt to swinging. Fortunately for him, Rivelata didn't have any buildings taller than two stories.

He checked his wrists again, along with the extra cartridge secreted away in his belt. Spidey was practicing clinging again, and it seemed to be working so far, as he managed to hang off the side of the building with one hand and both feet firmly stuck to the wood.

Movement. She leaned over the edge, shooting a curious glance at Spider-Man.

She observed him for a little while, watching with something like amusement as he checked and re-checked his weapons. It was easy enough to tell he was antsy without the repeated clicking of web cartridges - his posture and his movements gave him away, what with all the tenseness and the jittery jerkiness and the fidgeting.

"You're on edge," she pointed out.

"That's funny," he remarked, glancing up at her. "I don't remember you changing your name from Batgirl to Obviousgirl."

With a shrug, he propelled himself upwards, so that he was on the roof with her. "One of my powers - okay, scratch that, all my powers - is messing with me lately. One of the more important ones, too. Makes me a bit antsy, no bug puns intended."

It sounded weird to say it, even to another superhero-type. How did one explain that they could see things before they happened, but only a few seconds before? To most people, it wasn't as helpful as a full-blown precog anyway, so it might not be worth mentioning.

"I'm being sociable," she answered, the leather of her mask creasing as she smiled. "Which power?"

Batgirl didn't quite understand the concept of superpowers. It all seemed so risky, and training and physical ability seemed more dependable and less likely to backfire - especially if one was ever to end up on an island where superpowers of all kinds happened to be limited.

The night was still. Darkness shrouded his new home. Padded wall to padded wall there was darkness and he would try catching it with his mouth every time, but to no avail. It was never morning or afternoon. It was a constant stream of night with midnight snacks every few hours.

Sometimes, he would be allowed to scribble in his journal, and have joyful conversations with the other players in Rivelata. He would laugh, make riddles, and most importantly conduct plans for an escape.

This was funny the first time, but now it was getting boring. He did not even get to see the Batsyman anymore.

But, he knew his old friends would come through ~ the Scarecrow and Harley Quinn would be bouncing in, taking out the Spiderbrat and Batgirl, and carrying him out as he laughed and laughed and laughed.
