WHO: Aya Fujimiya, Ken Hidaka, Schuldich, Brad Crawford WHAT: Aya and Ken are trying to get food, Schu and Crawford are crashing the party! WHERE: The market, then Weiss HQ. WHEN: Midday.
"Probably not," Ken replied, looking at a few offerings. "Fish obviously, but other than that...guess we'll just have to get used t'something else." There was plenty of fruit, plenty of fish, more than enough vegetables. They definitely wouldn't starve.
Okay. At least he didn't say or think it out loud.
He did, however, touch Crawford's sleeve, nodding his head in their direction. Kittens, out and about.
To be honest, they'd been through so much that the boys hadn't even entered his mind for the past few days, which was weird enough as it was. But here they were, in all their glory, being "normal," whatever that meant, and of course, he had to share it.
Crawford turned his attention immediately, a smile blooming on his face when he saw what Schuldig had obviously been trying to draw his attention to.
And just when he'd been talking to Abyssinian about this sort of thing too. How perfect. It wasn't the one on one showdown they'd talked about but, well, Crawford was adaptable.
"Interesting," he murmured, and changed the direction they'd been walking in.
Aya sighed and eyed a fruit that looked strange. "It looks like it would stab you sooner than let you eat it," he muttered. "I don't know about this, Ken."
He was about to go further into the market when he felt eyes on him. He stiffened instinctively and his hand drifted to his waist, where he had his sword secured. He glanced over his shoulder and narrowed his eyes. "Ken," he hissed. "Behind us. Schwarz."
"...God damn it. Don't the bastards have some grandmas to trip down the stairs or kids to steal candy from or something?" Ken's hands went to his jacket, where his claws were stashed in the inside pocket, and then tossed a casual glance over his own shoulder. Two of them.
