Kariya examined one of Sho's many bent spoons somewhat uninterestedly. Just like a psychic. It was interesting. If they were at home, spoon bending would be easy. All reapers had some degree of psychic ability. But here, it was a good deal harder.
The ramen was bland, under seasoned. The noodles were overcooked an the tofu was falling apart. But honestly, as far as Sho's ramen went, it was very good. There was a reason Kariya was the cook.
He stirred the ramen idly looking away from Sho.
"That's one way to put it, Minamoto. That's one way to put it, all right." His expression was mostly neutral, but a well trained eye could tell he was upset behind those orange glasses.
Sho sat down and idly poked at the noodles. He wasn't really that hungry.
"So I guess I'd better come clean and say that yeah, I did this on purpose. I wanted..." he laughed, a laugh completely unlike his old laugh - cold and empty. "I wanted the power to kill the Composer dead. But after the stupid thing was outta my body, I just... didn't care anymore, y'know? Not having a heart kinda makes you lose your passion..."
"Anyway, it was Zexion, Axel, and Larxene; that's how he really makes those crystals of his. And if you breathe a word, well, Axel's told me in no short terms that he'll actually kill me if their cover's blown and y'know? I'm not so sure I can take that asshole in a fight."
He sighed. "Point is, I want it back. And I know who has it, too; it's Mansex or whatever their boss' name is. That one who just showed up who's even more talky than Zexy."
He actually smiled at Kariya's comment about Neku and Joshua. He wasn't sure if he actually found it funny, or if he was intellectually aware that it was funny, but he didn't care.
It was funny, and probably true besides.
"Hm... Maybe. You know what's weird? I think all I might need to do with Sir Longwinded is ask. That... and I'm not sure if it's that simple. This is an unbalanced equation, Kariya, and rebalancing it is gonnna take some doing."
"Either way, sneaking in or through the front door, I want you to come with me."
