A stray shaft of moonlight razed through the dark night, and for a moment, illuminated the softly humming nightmare: his balanced-- some might say sculpted, and they wouldn't be far from the truth -- build, his half-wistful expression as, from the docks, he gazed out into the sea, and, of course, his silver hair, gleaming in the soft moonlight with the tears of the sky. He finished the tune he was humming, and then, his gaze masked by dark glass, the moonlight by now past, leaving them all in dimmer illumination. His voice called out, warm and certain, not at all threatening-- he didn't even have to bother to hide the hunger, given he was already quite full ( ... )

"But... I'm not dressed for swimming", stammered Natalia. "And it's not proper for a princess to..."

She jumped, startled, as she heard a man's voice addressing them, then pulled herself to her full height and turned towards the strange man who was acting so casually around them. Utena had defended her last time, she would return the favour! She was capable of being strong too!

"Why are you sitting there you pervert? Are you trying to catch a glimpse of three young nubile girls swimming? Go away!"

Natalia, princess to the core, always expected to be obeyed. Unfortunately, Kimlasca meant little in this world, and she had come to find that she wasn't very physically intimidating...

"And if there is any danger", she tacked on, "I will protect them! I am a master archer and a seventh fonist!"

[ooc to corinthian-mun: your character is creepy in a good way, I think he needs to meet Jade. And I guess, as IC motivation, Jade has a lovely pair of crimson eyes.]

Utena stepped forward, putting herself between the girls and the nightmare. He'd always been polite enough at the inn, but she still wasn't comfortable having him there while they were swimming. She could protect the girls, she was sure of that, and they certainly seemed strong enough to protect themselves, but it was still a little... creepy, knowing he would be there watching.

Besides, he reminded her too much of her old Chairman of the Board for her to be completely comfortable with him at all.

"Arlecchino, right? Thanks for the concern, but we'll be alright. We're all pretty strong girls! We can take care of ourselves," she said, then added after a thought, "Were you looking to go for a swim, too? We can move over to some other stretch of the beach so we don't bother you."

They could take that any way they pleased, naturally. Of course, given the way they were acting so adversely to his presence, it would make it all the more amusing, all the more... interesting to see how he reacted when he isolated them, when he caught them alone within his serpentine coils of deception, fear, and, yes... desireBut that, of course, was a game for another time ( ... )
