Monta had entirely too much to carry, really. It was true, every time he dropped something he managed to pick it up again before it hit the ground -- with a hand, with a foot, even one genius time with his knee -- but he still had too much stuff.

But it wasn't his fault that everything here had looked delicious. It wasn't his fault that they'd had way too many bananas on display and Monta had felt the need to buy all of them.

At least the house would be well-stocked for a while?

He twisted around to look in the direction that he heard his name called from, blinking and searching for the source. It had sounded rather like -- Sena, yes! His face broke in a wide and automatic grin.

"Oooyyee, Sena!!" he called, "Over here! Come help me carry this stuff!!"

Suure, ask the cripple. But Sena couldn't really say no, could he? So he hobbled over to Monta and reached out to take the bags---

Only to realise that over 75% of the groceries were bananas.

"Monta," he begans slowly, "what happened to the other things on the groceries list?"

Maybe sending Monta to be the market liasion was a bad idea.

"What?" Monta blinked at Sena, looking completely innocent and rather puzzled. There had been other items? The -- oh, right. Other food and stuff.

"Oh, that!" He grinned and pointed proudly at one of the bags squished down under the others. It had the absolute bare minimum of food, and what food there was was in bad shape, under all the other bags. "Down there!" he said proudly.

It was alright, wasn't it? Surely they must have expected to get something like that, because how else was he going to afford all the bananas?

Right. Monta was never to their market liasion person ever, every again.

"You're lucky it's not in Mamori-neechan's personality to flip out over something like this," Sena told him, deadpan. "Kobacha on the other hand, is going to try and claw your eyes out."

Monta's eyes widened to think of Mamori. Of course! Mamori-san had sent him out here to perform a duty! And he'd failed to do it!

He struggled to stand a little straighter, to clutch the bags a little more firmly, to glare off at nothing in a way that he knew was especially good for striking awe and admiration into the hearts of onlookers.

"Sena," he said, using his best firm-and-manly voice, "What else was on that list?"

"Ah. We needed carrots, tomatoes, fish, milk and..." Sena rattled off the list of things needed at the top of his head. Well, at least Monta had realised he had done- though Sena didn't know why there was such a change in personality.

Maybe Monta was just really scared of Kobacha?
