Axel was, oddly enough, the first to arrive. He had even dressed nicely for the occasion, using the (extremely fruity) garments he'd worn over the last week as a jumping-off point. He kept the nice vest and cravat (albeit in more subtle colors than the bright greens and golds), but opted for pants that were less shiny and boots that were less... foppish. And no hair ribbon. Oh GOD, no hair ribbon.

"Ienzo?" he called out as he entered the tea shop.

Sabriel sat beside the host, nursing her own tea and chewing on this inside of her lip.

She'd come here with Ienzo, the odd pair walking without conversation. For the boy's whole stay at her house their friendship had been relatively easy, but today there was an insurmountably strained silence hanging in the air, and Sabriel could take a reasonable guess as to why.

Ienzo was beginning to figure himself out.

She looked up at the unfamiliar voice calling Ienzo's name - the first one to arrive. The newcomer felt like the boy beside her did, actually, like Death and like Free magic, but living with him for a while had numbed her to that particular feeling.

Without responding, she looked back at her tea, intelligent eyes hidden, thinking. It wasn't her name being called, anyway.

One of the serving girls noted Axel's presence, and pointed him towards the back room. "Ienzo is that way, sir," she said. She would direct anyone who came in asking for the young man to said back room.

Larxene had chosen her usual light and airy garments for the occasion. Simple capris, simple sandals and a simple blouse. She wasn't in the mood to dress up. Truth be told, she had come to rely to heavily on Zexion's companionship that it made her sick to think about it. A strong, independent woman like her, relying on some male. But she missed his voice, the idel chat he would make with customers in the Pen and Sword. He missed his berating her when she tossed a knife too close to his wares. Perhaps it was just comforting to have a kindred spirit around, but in his absence she'd found herself slipping back into old habits.

Namely catching mice and other small creatures and torturing them for fun. Their squeals and the bloody mess they left was satisfying. Larxene was still a psychopath after all.

So she entered the tea shop and followed the woman to the back room and sat down. She wasn't interested in tea and opted instead for water with lemon. Her expression was sour, almost sad. But mostly sour.

It made him irrationally happy to be included. No, not that Sora wasn't always at least a little happy. But just. People somehow didn't like the fact that something so far from where they were existed. And he wasn't much good for anything. Really, it wasn't like he could deny it. There just wasn't much a fourteen year old (fifteen, maybe, but he didn't know if his birthday had passed) could do when he had spent most of his life playing on an island and sparring with his friends. Sure, he could do chores and stuff . . . But really, Sora generally got the feeling that he was a little bit of a nuisance. He was being included today, though, and that was one small victory ( ... )
