WHO: Daine, and anyone who feels like dealing with a feral mountain lion WHAT: Fallout of a werecurse WHERE: The city fringes, eventually the jungle WHEN: Day 155
Musashi had really just wanted to take a walk. Get out of the house for a while, maybe see a little more of the town. He'd heard that the place was dangerous, but he still hadn't quite seen enough of it to know just how dangerous. Mugging? What town didn't have it. Murder? Sure, unfortunate, but that happened sometimes too. Werecreatures? He'd heard of them, but hardly expected to see any.
And wasn't that just the law of fate.
His steps had taken him out towards the edge of the town, towards the boundary of the jungle. He at least knew enough to respect the advice about avoiding the jungle. That bordered on common sense, anyway. Who knew what sort of hungry predators hung out in there?
His thoughts still resting on potential anacondas and jaguars and giant spiders, he was at first puzzled to see what looked like a... cougar? He blinked, slowed his steps, stared. Yes, that was definitely a cougar. Here? Odd.
And he couldn't help but wonder if maybe he ought to be backtracking right about now. Perhaps very fast.
Lion!Daine vs Dog!Sena, YES YES YES?speedy_devilbatAugust 30 2008, 09:08:21 UTC
Like Musashi, Sena too just wanted to take a walk. It was hard to stay indoors for longer periods of time lately and Sena just wanted to get out and away. Despite being more knowledgable about the true dangers of Rivelata, that didn't stop him from going out on his own
( ... )
What were these two-leggers doing? Daine-the-Cat growled, golden eyes flashing. Didn't they know she was on a hunt?
She crouched, ready to attack. If they ruined her hunt tonight, they would be the ones to pay for it. She was still searching for the meal the book had shown her, still sniffing, but caught nothing except the book's scent.
A breath in. Was that a dog Daine smelled? One was a two-legger... the other... not! Daine growled, launching herself at the dog-person, claws extended to rake his chest.
He was here to take her hunt.
But Daine was a mountain lion, and she intended to keep her meal from running away.
Fear. That was a familiar emotion. But unlike many others, his fear did not cause him to freeze. It made him run.
One with movement, he had almost vanished from view, barely avoiding the sharp claws and then, he slamming into Musashi, pushing him out of the way completely. Why hadn't his senpai run yet?
He landed with one hand out in front of him, one hand pressed against the floor as he nearly lost his balance completely. Fleet footed and small with a "flimsy" body(as Kakei had once put it a long time ago), balance was hardly Sena's forte. But recovering quickly from falls? That was something Sena had resigned himself from getting used to.
And just as fear overwhelmed him, so did anger. Had he been himself completely, it would've surprised him, the anger he had felt- it wasn't just the resentment at the idea of someone important to him getting hurt. It was the pride of the dog within too- how dare this overgrown cat try and attack him
He let out a low guttural growl and just a bit of himself was lost to the feral dog within.
Daine growled as she missed her target, landing with feline grace. She spun, eyes hungering for the hunt. This dog would make things interesting, wasn't he? He was fast. Daine's fur rippled as it stood on end.
He wanted to play?
The mountain lion would show this dog how to play with a cat.
Daine's mouth hung open, suck in air, betraying the predatory teeth.
He was interrupting her hunt, and he would find out that was a very bad idea.
