Sebastian sighed as he made his way towards the jungle. Again, how he was able to so quickly and accurately deduce Yuna’s location is better left unanswered. Aside from a tall pair of black boots, he was dressed in the usual, his uniform kept surprisingly dry by the presence of a large, black umbrella over his head. He carried a basket as well, in it necessary first aid and a thick blanket. She seemed to be in quite a state, and though he understood her embarrassment about her behavior, her panic over his and Master Ciel’s reaction was a bit much. Flaying indeed. He would very much have liked to flay not only the maid but all of the staff they’d had back in England, but Yuna was far from deserving ( ... )

Her cheeks were streaked with rainwater and tears and her hair in shambles. Her entire face glowed crimson and she couldn't meet his eyes at all. Oh. Oh, this was the worst thing that could've happened to her. Yevon have mercy and strike her dead then and there!

She curled into a tighter ball, stumbling over her words.

"S-si..." She paused, "Sebastian."

A lump made its way down her throat and she squeezed her eyes shut. Carefully she took the umbrella in one hand so that Sebastian wouldn't have to trouble himself holding it for her. She trembled from the cool of the rain, and from sheer embarrassment.

"Forgive me, I... I..." She stammered- what could she say? "It is shameful, and...I just couldn't bring myself to-"

Her head bowed, hair sticking to her face. "Forgive me."

...ah. It seemed merely “embarrassed” was an understatement. For a girl of her wholesome disposition, the kind of spirit that had entered her......the magic was very foreign and unfamiliar, and yet Sebastian could get a very general sense of what it had done. But Master Winchester’s exorcism seemed to have been effective.

“There is nothing to forgive, Yuna,” he said, rather deliberately dropping the honorific he’d been using until then. While he did insist upon proper etiquette from all of the servants, the last thing Yuna needed now was a reminder of polite, formal behavior. They could return to it once she recovered.

He felt the curtain drape briefly. As drenched as the rest of her.

“You’ll catch cold if you stay in this any longer,” he said, still using his gentlest voice. Holding on to the drape, he looked her into the eye, body language asking for permission to remove her from it. “Please, allow me to help you into something more comfortable.”

Yuna hiccuped. She had dreamt about Sebastian saying that, but it was in a completely different setting. With a wavering hand, she peeled the curtain away from herself, face scrunched in a grimace. She offered the corner into his gloved hand reluctantly. She would allow herself to be unwrapped.

The maid wondered if it were possible to die of humiliation. And then consequently, if she had finished organizing the teas before her death so that something pleasant could be said about her at the funeral.

Why was Yuna's mind so abuzz? She generally kept her thoughts herded like wayward lambs. But now they had all scattered from the fold.

He made swift work of its removal, studiously avoiding looking at her more than necessary and drying her with a towel he’d tucked into the blanket as he did so. She was still sitting on the drape, though, and while this was going to get considerably more awkward she needed to be get dry.

“Yuna, I understand how...embarrassing circumstances are for you, but I am going to have to ask you to stand up. Again, greatest apologies for my thoughtlessness...it was my negligence that led to the situation.”

It was all Yuna could do not to burst into frustrated tears then and there. But it was best to get this over with. Wrapping her arms around herself in a feeble attempt to cover her body, the girl stood shakily, knees knocking a little. She was not curvaceous by any means; a slender, lithe girl who had nothing to speak of really for hips, or for a bustline. But her skin had a lovely tone and though she was thin, she wasn't angular or bony by any means.

Yuna squeezed her eyes shut and bowed her head, hoping that her falling hair would hide the shame on her face.

"T-thank you," she squeaked, "You are an angel, sir."

The edge of Sebastian’s mouth quirked up in a half-smile, though he kept his gaze away from Yuna’s body and over her head. A blink of the eye and he’d wrapped Yuna up in the blanket, and in the same motion swept her off her feet and into his arms bridal-style. It wouldn’t do for the blanket to trail onto the ground and get wet, after all. He began to walk, leaving the basket and drape were they were and checking to make sure Yuna’s hold on the umbrella was stable. It was heavy, being so large-but both his hands were full.

“No angel,” he replied, still smiling. “Just a butler.”

She'd barely had time to gasp before she was swept into his grip like a doll. On instinct she wrapped an arm around his neck to keep herself stable, still gripping the umbrella so tightly that the handle could've snapped. She ducked her head and curled her toes anxiously.

"...Does Master Ciel know about this?"

“He’s aware I’ve come to fetch you, as well as some details of your recent...condition.”

It was quite a long way from the jungle to the Mansion, so he walked as briskly as he could without disturbing Yuna’s grip on the umbrella. Which, for Sebastian, was very brisk indeed.

“He has been quite concerned for you, but don’t worry about taking up your normal duties for some time. I will tend to your injuries and then you can rest.”

Looking away from the path and checking to make sure she was alright, he added, “There’s cocoa too, if you’d like.”

Yuna recalled how it felt to ride on the back of a chocobo at full trot, extending its lanky legs across the savannah and fields of Spira. She couldn't help but compare the speed and jostle of Sebastian's sprint to the bird's. Perhaps that was only to keep herself distracted from what else was occurring around her.

"Oh, but... I have so much to be doing; the company...Everyone else-" Her nervous chatter trailed off.

"Cocoa would be heavenly."
