One of the (many) benefits of working in a library was the ample time one had to read the books in there, and Mohinder had definitely taken advantage of that time since he started. On his fourth day he found what was possibly the most comfortable chair he had ever sat in and now half of his "work day" was spent curled up, absorbed in whatever subject caught his attention that morning.

The chair was situated not far from the entrance so he could at least have the chance to look busy if anyone came in, but today he was so wrapped up in his book he jumped slightly when he heard a voice call out through the foyer. Quickly setting his book down beside him he jumped up and peered around the corner.

"Hello, can I help you wi--" Mohinder paused. He recognized this man from somewhere... although just barely. It was the eyes... of course! The masquerade!

"Mr... Kuchiki, was it?" he asked with a small smile. "It's nice to see you again."

"Mr. Suresh," Byakuya nodded. He recognized him as well. "It's good to see you as well. I was... wondering if there were any openings in this library? I have not yet had any luck in acquiring a job for a while now."

Byakuya really hoped he could work here. Then maybe he could escape here and not just the Inn.

"Oh, just Mohinder is fine," he said, stepping back to welcome him into the library.

A job? Was Mohinder even authorized to hire people? He looked confused for a minute and he ran over the pros and cons of having a co-worker. Pro: more help with tedious filing tasks. Con: less time spent in the comfy chair.

It was a toss-up.

"Well, I do have a lot of filing and re-shelving to do some days. It's odd... not many people come in here yet somehow books manage to end up all over the place. Sometimes I think they grow legs at night," he laughed, mostly to himself, then shot Byakuya a slightly embarrassed glance. "Um. In any case. I'm sure it would be fine to work alongside me here."

Oh, spend all the time you want in that comfy chair, Byakuya won't care. Archiving and shelving is his THING.

Nonetheless, that seemed rather easy. "Thank you... Mohinder."

Byakuya was about to turn and leave, it had been a little late in the day when he dropped by but... "Do you have a specific time for me to start or would today be fine? You may call me Byakuya, by the way. I don't mind."

Not any more.
