Chad was still confused and tired and really kind of lost. And he still had a headache, dammit. And he really sort of hoped Evans would show up soon.

Speak of the devil - Chad spotted a familiar figure approaching.

"Evans!" He grinned. It was somehow reassuring to see someone he knew, even if that someone gave his stomach butterflies that he didn't want to admit were there.

Ryan smirked. He had gotten a smile from Chad. This was certainly a step in the right direction.

"So, are you going to keep my hat? It looks good on you."

And it did. But that wasn't really the point. The point was that, yes. It was good to see Chad again. Heck, he would've taken Taylor at this point. That was how desperate he was for normalcy.

Chad raised an eyebrow, still grinning. "Think so? Heh. Maybe I'll hang on to it." And it's yours - that's a damn good reason to keep it, he added mentally.

"So where are you staying?" he asked.

Ryan smiled. Oh poor poor Chad, falling into his (not as sparkly as Sharpay's, mind you, but equally bad) web of seduction. This was perfect. This was more than perfect it was -

"So where are you staying?"

Oh. Question. Answer so he doesn't get suspicious, Ryan.

Ryan shrugged, "Some guy named Yusuke, Glinda and Elphaba were staying with him and he had some extra room."
