Fifteen minutes earlier Angel had been thrown off the boat. Literally thrown off the boat with the book and funny feathery pen thing.
But what really bothered her was when she went to make those men jump in the water...and maybe forget to breath. He was probably an eraser anyway. But when she had tried to get in his head there was nothing. Like Jeb at the School. She had tried with someone else. Nothing.
But once she had seen Max,she hoped it was Max, tell her she was coming through that book her powers didn't matter.
Max would help her because she was....because she was Max.

She was trying to hear Max's thoughts when she heard her name called. She jumped up and shrieked
"Max! Max you're here!"

Max kept her thoughts positive and happy as she approached the blond child. She swept Angel into her arms. "Angel..." She held the girl tight in her arms. "Oh God, Angel..." Suddenly the world was both much brighter, and much harder. Angel was here, which meant that she had to take care of her. Angel was here ( ... )

"Three months?" Angels brow crumpled in confusion. "But, Max, I just saw you."She wondered how long she had been on that boat. "What do you mean not from when I remember?" Everything was so confusing here. But Max was here and Angel knew everything would be okay. "Max, I can't read anyones thoughts. Or control them. Why can't I?" Hopefully Max wouldn't ask how Angel found out she couldn't control people. Max never liked Angel using that power very often.

She sighed. "Rivelata can take people from different times in their lives. I'm from six months in your future. Since I got taken, I've spent three months here." She kept walking, and found a crate. She gestured for Angel to sit. "As far as I can tell, Rivelata exists outside of where we're from. Someone else's Earth isn't ours." She gave her a small smile and ruffled her hair.

Max didn't know how much she'd missed her flock until now.

"I know you can't, sweetie. A lot of people lose their powers here. You might not be able to heal as fast either." She gave her another hug. "I'll need your reading powers here." She whispered. "Try not to control their minds, please." On the other hand, Angel's controlling powers might be useful to keep Sho from shouting math terms all the time. It'd certainly make most of her headache go away.
