Ion had lost count of the number of times he'd been kidnapped in his relatively short life. He'd only been alive, technically, for two years, and he'd been kidnapped more times than he could count on the fingers of both hands. He really was going to have to learn to take care of himself better. And he had no idea how he was going to face Luke after this.

Luke would forgive him, but he shouldn't have needed to. Ion should have stayed put, just like Luke said.

Ion tried his best to keep up as Sync dragged him along through the dark, eerily empty streets; Ion tried his best not to say anything to further anger him; Ion tried his best to remain calm and tell himself that Luke would take care of things even though he had enough to worry about.

But it was hard to be convincing.

Sync began to wonder when Luke would notice that Ion wasn't in sight. Or if he would notice at all. Either way, Sync would make sure that Luke would find out about it. Indefinitely.

He dragged Ion into the Crimson Dragon, thankfully not many people were there to witness this--most of them were at the ball. It made it easier to find an unoccupied room to drag him into.

Ion stumbled after him, trying not to trip as he went through the doorway. The Crimson Dragon... This was where Luke was staying, and the others! He'd been staying here, too, but now it was quiet and empty. No one was here; they'd all gone to the ball. And Ion hadn't been jealous, but he had been curious. And Worried.

Now, he was here.

"Sync," he said, though he was quiet: he didn't want to anger him further. He'd been in so many of these situations; by now, he knew how best to handle it, and he didn't want to cause any further trouble.

He entered the room and gave it a once over before he closed the door behind Ion and locked it for good measure.
Sync turned as he heard his name being called by the Fon Master. He had calmed down and returned to his usual cool demeanor.

It would be a couple hours till the ball was over, and Sync sincerely doubt that Luke would notice Ion was missing beforehand, so it looked as if they had some time to kill. And Sync wasn't looking forward to hearing any more of Ion's idealistic views.
