Then her arrows fell to the floor.
T-bag to take a minute to laugh at this one.
"Oh, ho. Little Susie ain't so tough after all," he burst out between chuckles, wiping his eyes.

The arrow had thankfully, ricocheted harmlessly. But she had almost, almost, come close to hurting someone. How could she be that stupid? Was fear clouding her mind? But Susan let out a breath she hadn't been aware that she'd been holding, all this time- bursting for air. Biting her bottom lip nervously- a bad habit of hers as she watched him, in obvious confusion.
He was laughing.
T-Bag was wiping his eyes- which meant that he was distracted right? Perhaps she should run now. But part of her was too shocked to move for a moment- she had forgotten that he could laugh. That he was an actual, human being as opposed to being a figure- fear personified.
And this could possibly be her only chance- the only time he was distracted. Susan's mind was whirring. She started forward, about to break into a run when she realized that she wouldn't be able to squeeze past him, anyways. The alley was too narrow.
She forced herself to take a deep breath. "What do you want?" she asked, voice slightly more ( ... )

"None of which you'll be getting from me. I don't have money, power- or love, unfortunately." she snapped, crossing her arms for a moment. She'd let her guard down- he seemed amused. Amused enough for her to try and escape, possibly? She'd take that risk. So fighting down her initial disgust, Susan gave her absolutely sweetest smile. One that had charmed boys at her school, which was annoying because she'd rather be alone. "So, it would just be a waste of your time to keep me here. Goodbye."
And with that, with her head held high and back striahgt she took one step, and then another- fully intent on walking past T-Bag. Only her thumping heart betrayed her calm mask. She was slighter than he was- she could easily run. She just had to get to Peter's house- and then she'd be safe.

"That is where you are wrong, missy." He grabbed her wrist, tightening his grip, not letting her go. "You can give me a lot of love ~"

Susan breathed deeply, looking him straight in the eye. But his words were just ridiculous. Unless he actually meant something else, which was probably the case here and the thought made her want to throw up. And she almost did- except that he'd probably do something horrid in retaliation.
"I won't ever love you. You're a horrid man." she snapped, as coldly as she could muster up, her temper getting the better of her now. It was a foolish thing to do, to say, especially right now. But the thought- it really did disgust her somewhat. Susan was known for keeping a level head in urgent situations, but here, right now- all that seemed to disappear.
"Leave me alone."
