He had no idea what the hell was going on

There was a sound to his right, and Peter jumped at the intrusion. It was Travis. Travis in the flesh, acting like nothing happened, acting nonchalant, acting like a smug bastard. Peter bit back a growl, a curse, and clenched his fists. He was not going to start throwing punches left and right yet. He needed to get in a few choice words first.

But, god, it was tough just seeing him standing there, knowing what he did to Susan, and who knows who else. Maybe even Claire...

"I can ask you the same question." He spat at his feet. "What's the thing that gets you off the most? Their age or the struggle?"

Okay, now he really had no idea what the hell was going on - But the attitude was more than a little annoying.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" he growled, not moving.

He's been his usual self in the journals, but he hadn't really done anything - but what kind of question was that? What gets him off?! It didn't make any sense...

"Why the hell would you ask shit like that? Hate to tell you, but I'm not into dudes," he finished, trying to rein his anger. Not that it ever really helped, but he couldn't help but feel he was missing something.

Travis was playing dumb, naturally. Peter doubted he would confess to such a heinous crime against a little girl, but he was not done prodding the guy yet. There was a mouthful to say.

"Not dudes. Little girls," he replied curtly, getting off the crate, standing tall in front of him. Nathan was better at this sort of thing - being tough, being threatening, being the aggressive one - but Peter had to step up to the plate now and again, right? "Why did you do it."
