Claire arrived early.

No one knew she was supposed to be there, but she was led inside anyway and into the room, where she took a seat, as had been asked of her, a "thank you," alongside a smile being her only words in response. So far.

The Queen was there. She would have been lying had she said she wasn't surprised to see her there, but it seemed that the council meting would commence, and perhaps even better than had been foreseen.

Now it was only time to play diplomacy, and play it right.

Finally, the meeting was to be held. Despite his morose mood caused by recent events that proved to be quite difficult, Komui held his head up high. He dressed his finest in white and light blue, cleaning up well for the upcoming council meeting.

For Lenalee, he will be doing this. For his baby sister, he will find a way to make everything right again. The exorcists did not approve of his cooperation, but they have grown foolish in this new atmosphere. Komui knew he was doing something right.

Komui allowed himself to be led through what looked like a maze. So many sharp turns, so many new things. He tried his best to catch up, taking long steps behind the guards. Finally, he was brought into a hall. A table set in the middle with eight chairs in order. Komui recognized the Chancellor, and the little girl by her side - it must have been the Queen.

What an honor.

The scientist nodded, smiling to feign cheeriness, and taking a seat by the blond woman already there.

Without her visions Alice felt quite put out. She had no idea what had happened to Edward and Bella, that made her both angry and made her feel quite helpless. Normally it was easy for her to simply look and see what would happen. And even if the occasional thing as blocked from her, she could see the overall story, the way things would eventually go. How things would change and be. So, with her current lack of visions, she was glad for the chance to have some kind of information given to her ( ... )

A lot had changed since the last time Yuuri had set foot within the Queen's Palace. His mother had... not died, because it hurt to think of that, but was no longer able to respond to anything or anyone. Wolfram had become distant after that, which was odd too because one would have thought the woman's son would be more distraught than the son's fiance. Yuuri had never felt as alone as he presently did ( ... )

His innermost heart of hearts was still a child, and that child was ever so eager about the situation at present. Here he was; walking through a beautiful castle that seemed so very familiar despite him never having walked these halls before. But the atmosphere. The guards, the paintings, the statues... All of it reminded him of home.

But the outermost heart of hearts- the one Larsa Ferrinas Solidor displayed to the world was that not of a boy, but a young man. So he strode purposefully down the hallways, dressed in a beautiful, tailored recreation of the Senatorial robes worn by the men who helped govern the Archadian Empire along with his House.

The fifth to enter the room; the Solidor Heir slowly withdrew the ceremonial rapier Joyeuse from the scabbard at his hip- every gesture measured to be slow and unthreatening as he held the sword to his heart before making a sweeping, elegant bow befitting that of a Prince greeting a Queen. A nod to the Chancellor, then to his fellow Councillors before the boy took a seat ( ... )
