The reappearance of Daisya, a new Kanda, no word from Lenalee - it did not look like things were looking up for the Lee family. She had been gone for weeks, and it felt like...it felt like she was dead, gone for good, and that was -

How was Komui supposed to live like this? He only wanted to protect his sister, keep her safe, but she ran away from him and look what that got her.

He loved - loves Lenalee.

Shut up in his room, crying, sulking for days amongst paper work, his journal, his little Komurins. He only left to teach classes in the morning, and eat.

When Sho called his name, Komui didn't leave his room, didn't even respond.

Sho KNEW that Komui was home. There were signs and evidences and hell, he knew Komui's usual schedule - they had lessons to teach in the afternoon. The man was THERE. And he'd done this for Komui.

"KOMUI!" he shouted again, mounting the stairs. "YOU'RE ZETTA SLOW. I KNOW YOUR ASYMTOPE IS UP THERE."

Sho had a powerful set of lungs on him. It was admirable, and in a normal Komui state, he'd be complimenting Sho's vocal chords. However, this was no normal Komui state. This was a desperate, depressed Komui state that was going to stay this way until he figured out how to get Lenalee back from wherever she is whether she's dead or missing.

He didn't respond still. His own lungs were too busy betraying him.

Sho could be patient when he wanted to be. When he had a scheme going, a wheels within wheels scheme, he could wait for weeks on end for something to come to pass.

What he had no patience for was when the world was not ordered, when it did not follow his commands or do as he wished.

This was one of those times.

Frustrated now with Komui's failure to respond, he kicked in the other man's door. "What the factorial, Komui, I know you're... here?"

And then he stood, shocked. "Komui?"

Komui was crying?

And here, Sho was, for once, lacking a solution to the equation. He was not an empathathetic man, he was not very good at dealing with people. But here was someone who he counted as a friend.

As such, he simply stood in the open doorway, at a loss for words.
