Dist was in Jade's room. He hadn't slept since...since the incident. Just thinking about it stirred up a whole wave of painful emotions, emotions like sadness and regret. He had been feeling a lot of both since the three of them had ended up in Rivelata, and he cursed this damn place for what it had done to his childhood friends. It had been years since he had felt so close, yet so distanced from them, years since he had seen Jade deteriorate emotionally and once again, know there was nothing he could do.
Not that anything mattered anymore. There was no "three of them" anymore. Only in spirit, perhaps. Dist choked back an angry sob at his current uselessness and made to focus his attention back to Jade. Jade. Jade who was all his now, but at such a price.
The noise and yelling from below jarred him and he turned swiftly towards the source. "What in the-" he growled, dropping the roll of bandages in hand and peering outwards. An unfamiliar figure, yelling violently, near his Jade, after such a traumatic event- Dist was NOT in the

Speaking of being in the mood, neither was Kaito in any mood other than murdering a certain jackass who had skipped out a meeting on him.
"YOU!!!" the policeman yelled, aiming a gun at the stranger on the second level. Weak bastard, he noted with a sneer. Panting away just from screaming? No wait, SCREECHING. "WHERE THE FUCK IS JADE CURTISS?!!!"
Dist hadn't been on the business end of a projectile weapon since an argument with Legretta quite some time ago, and he wasn't too happy to be in that place again- specifically because this man seemed serious, and ANGRY. What he wanted with Jade, Dist had no idea, and as much as he wanted to hurl himself at the intruder and do whatever it took to get him to leave- if Dist died, and there was quite a good chance of that, no one would be there to care for Jade. Certainly not in the way DIST could.
A shiver ran down Dist's spine as he took a deep breath. "He's here. With ME. And BADLY INJURED, thank you- so just...-just leave," and then he added, with surprising logic for Dist, "This isn't a good time."
Now that was easy. Kaito blinked and stomped up the steps. Badly injured? What the fuck was he doing injuring himself anyway? Wasn't he some kind of invincible necromancer shit?! It was probably just a boo-boo that Jade was nursing. Fuck, he was going to kick his pansy ass so hard that he--
But the sight of Jade sitting in bed, looking blankly into space changed his mind. Kaito wasn't annoyed. He was EXTREMELY annoyed. What fucking catastrophe had happened to put him in that shitty, loser state of mind? Turning his attention over to Dist, he narrowed his eyes. Coddling. This fucker was fucking CODDLING Jade Curtiss. What the hell?!
He huffed and closed the distance between Dist and him, grabbing him by the collar with the strength of one used to pulling himself into a moving helicopter, and dragged him down the steps unceremoniously.
