WHO: Sakuya Kira [comedawn] & Yue Katou [limboed] WHAT: Kira's got another ace up his sleeve, or so it seems. WHERE: Kira's residence. WHEN: After this thread, Day 98.
Now this was something unexpected. Eyes widening for a moment as he observed the bag at his feet, Katou threw his friend a stunned look which - within mere seconds - turned into a wide, knowing grin. “Ohoho, my friend, now we’re talking business,” he replied, bending down to observe the contents of the bag more closely. If he was right about his suspicions on what was within it, they might just be edging towards something both of them could have only dreamed about back home in Tokyo.
It was filled with a fine, greyish powder - very much like cocaine if it hadn’t looked so dirty. No, this was something else. Something new. Opening the zipper, the druggie dipped a finger into it and tasted it. It stung and had a sharp, slightly chemical taste. Well, it could definitely pass for cocaine. The grin widened as he resealed the bag and weighed it up and down in his hand, pleased.
“You sure this ain’t lethal, dude?” He asked, cocking an eyebrow. God knew where Kira had gotten his hands on this stuff, especially in a place like this.
“Why not?” he replied, giving the bag a sudden suspicious look. He knew that Kira liked to keep track on his habits and occasionally even gave him small warnings to make sure he stayed in relatively good health but he had never been this… drastic. Sure, he had told him several times that heroin might not be the wisest form of drug to use - back when he had started needing that form of escape - but this was different. He could see it in the way he met his eyes. He was serious
( ... )
He was at it again. Brilliant. Tapping the ashes off his already half-finished cigarette, Katou gave his scholar best friend a drained look. So he had made that stuff himself. God knew when and where and how but there was no doubt about it now. Sadly enough, it was mostly the case that Kira really was right; he could do everything. At least most things. A few. Quite a few. Okay, maybe a fucking lot of ‘em.
He had even tested the stuff. On whoever and whatever he didn’t really want to know but apparently it had worked so well that it could pass for real drugs. Even be a real drug. This was huge. This was fucking huge. And hell if Katou didn’t like this.
“So what’s next, boss?” he replied, sauntering over to the table and plopping down on top of it, grinning. He had grown out of using chairs years ago. “You want me to sell this shit, right?”
