She wasn't really sure who she was looking for, but that didn't really matter. Whoever this person was that she was looking for, she would find him. Well. Maybe. Artemis wasn't exactly good at finding people she didn't know, and it's not like she was familiar with this 'Rivelata' place ( ... )

To his mortification, Kurogane heard his name being called through the street.

Or what passed for his name. The mispronunciation was a thousand times worse than any of the names his roommate called him. A thousand.

He whipped towards the voice, determined to find Artemis as quickly as possible just so she'd stop saying that infernal pseudo-name. A half-growl formed in his throat; he let it die.

There she was. He'd seen a sort-of picture in the journal, and that had to be her. Tall, readhead - wings! - and she looked like she'd been calling someone. She was facing 90 degrees from here he was.

"Here," he half-called to her, his voice sounding a little strangled still at the horror of her mispronunciation. He walked up to her, wondering dully why he was going to have drinks with a pirate.

Artemis whipped herself around, doing a complete twist on one foot. The bells on her person jingled, and the jewelery here and there on her wings only sparkled in the sun as the feathery things fluttered for the briefest of moments at finding the person she'd come here for time.

"There you are!" She called out, grinning ear to ear -- flashing the sharp teeth -- and raising an arm high into the air. For a pirate, she seemed oddly glad to see someone who was, well, not on her crew. But it really had been a while since she'd socialized with someone new to her. It was exciting!

"Soo, Kuro-gai-nay~ Where is this pub?" she asked, crossing her arms across her chest with a silly, sleepy smile that crawled across her face.

"It's Koo-roe-gah-neh," he intoned, used to saying it. "The pub's not far." He gestured with his chin towards it, pretending not to look the pirate - whose name he still didn't know - up and down. What a weird girl. She certainly wasn't human, nowhere near, but he was used to that. It was her personality, bright and colorful, that caught his attention.

Oddly, her brand of bubbliness seemed completely real. Honest. This struck him as almost odd - he wasn't used to real effervescence. It tugged the corner of his lips up slightly.

"It's a good place, the Midnight Suns. Right over there." He strode past her towards it with a long-legged warriors' gait.

"Who's paying?"
