To put it lightly, Claire was worrying about Adam.

Nostalgia. No idea what that even meant for him. But her first guess-- and what proved true far too frequently anyway-- was that he had to be out drinking.

Hiruma had said, if she was careful enough, Claire would be allowed to go out.

It was just a thin cloak, nothing to heavy, given how hot it was, and Claire went out, quickly making her way to the closest tavern she knew of.

The place seemed rather busy, she noted as she approached, and a glance through the window confirmed this.

But she couldn't see if Adam was brooding somewhere in a corner.

Stepping just inside, she looked out from under her hood to see if she could see him anywhere.

--she couldn't. But that didn't keep her from catching the eye of a certain perpetually smiling patron, making her turn around almost instantly and move to step outside.

Even behind his shaded glasses, Hisanori could spot the shadowy little figure peeking in, if only for a moment. The cloak was enough to keep him from immediately recognizing Claire but it was also enough to make her extremely suspicious to him. Swigging the remainder of his drink in a smooth movement, Hisanori abandoned his spot and dropped all other thoughts to stalk this person of interest. He simply slipped out to keep an eye on her - if she was up to something shady, he didn't want to interrupt it unless or until it would definitely benefit him.

Claire had made it to the outside wall, leaning against there for a moment as she willed her heart to stop racing.

Of all the people she could have run into.

Well. Maybe it could have been worse. Still. She really had been trying to avoid running into anyone she knew. Especially someone with such a keen mind and sharp eyes.

Goddammit.

It was after she heard footsteps that she turned around to look.

"Why are you following me?" she asked, cocking her head at him.

If he wasn't so amused, Hisanori would've been disappointed, perhaps even angry. But there was something about finding little Claire Bennet slinking around in a cloak and peeking into bars at night that would have made him smile if he wasn't already.

"You're wandering around the city at night while wearing a cloak in this kind of weather and asking me why I found it strange enough to want to check it out," he announced. If that answer wasn't both obvious and acceptable (if slightly dishonest), he didn't know what would be.
