Subaru was quite astonished as Max quickly descended from the sky. For being so young, Max was quite a tall girl. Subaru was almost surprised looking up at her, yet kept her calm gaze and smile. Taking the almost awkwardly offered hand, Subaru replied in turn, "It is a pleasure to meet the two of you as well." Looking across to the house that would now belong to her, she found her heart filling with joy. Lelouch was going to be so happy. "Yes, he should be arriving shortly with his sister, I assume ( ... )

As it were, Euphie was actually not too far behind Lelouch. She only lagged because dragging her suitcase took some effort. She didn't have a whole lot and yet she had enough to fill it entirely. How very odd. But she wanted to carry it herself, though she felt bad for turning Lelouch away. She felt he had done more than enough for her lately. The least she could do was carry her own clothes.

And so she dead, lugging the suitcase to the destination Subaru had mentioned on the note. It wasn't terribly far, at least. Euphie was excited. It would be wonderful, living in a new home with them both. She would have to thank whoever it was who agreed to let them stay.

"Lelouch! Lady Subaru!" She called as she approached, then paused. She blinked, watching Subaru yank the cat away from Lelouch. She laughed and shook her head. It would seem few males in her life had luck with cats.

Max watched as Lelouch, followed by a pink-haired human Max could only assume was Euphemia, approached. Her mouth quirked into a half-smile as she watched him with the luggage, thinking that for having such a thin body he was certainly strong. She knew the look of some stressed, having had the air about her too often for one bordering on, if not, fifteen.

The bird-girl squared her jaw, trying to think up a reply to Subaru's thanks. She just shrugged. "It's not like I need two houses." Max nodded to Euphie, saying, "Max." She raised an eyebrow. "Do you need help with the luggage?"

Mutant strength had to have more applications than allowing flight and nasty bruises on spiky-haired quarterback. She shrugged.

Wincing visibly, Lelouch's expression managed to soften a little as Subaru removed the kitten from his ankle, despite how displeased he was. In the face of the young woman's adoration of the kitten, it was hard to stay upset with the little beast, much as he distrusted it, actively avoiding speaking about Rebellion matters when it was nearby. Perhaps it was paranoid. But better to keep them all paranoid and safe rather than carefree and soon-to-be dead ( ... )

Looking toward Max with a bright smile, Subaru responded, "I believe we will be all right. We only have clothing to move and you have already done so much." Also, if Lelouch could not manage to get the cases upstairs by himself, they really needed to work on improving his strength. Now that they had a permanent residence, maybe a daily routine would do the both of them good. Another thought, they now had a backyard she could train in instead of a small room where she couldn't even swing her axe at full radius ( ... )
