Dressed in a simple buttoned up white shirt and long black trousers, Kaito felt as if he were back home again when he was a teenager, being paraded from one social event to another by his good-for-nothing father, only capable of getting funds for his research if he spent all his non-laboratory time sucking up to the bigwigs of the place.

Nevertheless, all those experiences had been good for something, after all: small talk, socializing, grace and all that jazz. Raking his fingers through his beaded hair, he made the next turn into the secondary district of the Market Place, immediately spotting the tall man. Dressed in a kimono in the middle of a 17th century set-up, Oriya had stuck out like a sore thumb.

"Oriya-san?" Kaito approached and asked curiously. He was supposed to be a well brought-up young man looking for a job now. Stick to your roles, Wanijima.

Oriya turned at the voice, though he had senses Kaito before the young man had spoken. He didn't have magical abilities like others in Rivelata, and wasn't particularly immortal or inhuman. The best word to describe him was spiritual- He had a deep connection to the worlds of the living and dead. Oriya simply saw and felt things that most people were ignorant to, spiritually blind ( ... )

Didn't they look a sight? Kaito thought he took the seat he was gestured to, resting his elbow on his knee and propping his chin up with a hand, the very posture of relaxed and interested.

Two very tall men, one dark haired and built, another with silver haired and slender. While Oriya looked traditionally Japanese, there was almost nothing oriental about Kaito's features outside of his jaw line, given his hair color and ice blue eyes.

Oriya found Kaito attractive. The young man closely resembled Muraki, whom Oriya thought to be the most perfect man in the world. It was like looking at his friend when they had gone to college together, albeit Kaito's hair was longer and Muraki had been broader.

"You have a good look. I can see you becoming a popular host." His voice was very deep, very throaty. Then again, Oriya always had the feel of a man who was merely feet away from the bedroom. A casual elegance and sexuality that came naturally. "So tell me, what experience do you have to offer? You have an air of sophistication that I like- have you worked anywhere before?"
