It was a strange and delightful beauty -the gruesomeness of his former comrade's death. Takasugi watched with an air of boredom, smoking casually at his pipe while leaning back against the alley wall. It should, by all means, have had some sort of affect on him, but that person had long since become oen of the many ghosts that still lingered around after having wandered so far from the battlefield. It was only justice that he died painfully for abandoning Shoyou's cause

Usually he would have simply hacked at the man until he became an unrecognizable pile of flesh and bone. However, Grell wanted to please the man who had given him this order.
So it was with meticulous grace that he had swung his chainsaw at every joint, severing at the knees, elbows, shoulders, thighs and at the ribcage. The man had lasted until Grell literally cut him in half, splitting his spinal cord and ending any chance of survival. The Soul Reaper smiled; the man deserved some credit for surviving a while. Leaning down, Grell removed Sakamoto's sunglasses and carefully tucked them into his pocket. He still had creative ideas aplenty.
Beheading the man, Grell moved the head a little away from the pile of limbs with his foot before beginning to artfully carve the flesh away from the bone. A few strips of sinew and flesh here and there, but for the most part he soon had a skull staring up at him with bulging eyes. "I'll make you a special delivery!" Grell giggled, beginning to methodically pack Sakamoto into the wooden crate he

There was a strange finality by the time the box was sealed and silence reigned upon the alley once again. Words had left him for a moment, Takasugi's eye straying towards where the bright red coat lay over the box. It was the closest to a coffin he would allow that man, but he supposed they were no hard feelings to be born after this. Now that Sakamoto was gone -punished for keeping him chained so long like an animal- he felt a sense of elation.
Retribution was chained to nothing less than pleasant thoughts that rode through his mind, and Takasugi smiled widely before approaching both the man and what remained of Sakamoto.
"That was quite a display, but it makes me wonder what I can do to inspire more of these results from you." A chuckle left his throat, and he moved closer to Grell, letting the acrid smoke from his pipe waft out and cloud the hair between them. "If I were to provide you with more, would you kill them in my name and re-enact this same pleasure for yourself."
Grell beamed at the praise, his smile like that of a puppy. His gloved fingers were twitching faintly, the blood all around them slowly disappearing as he bade his body to absorb the energy. It wouldn't do if anyone suspected him, for then he couldn't continue with his fun.
"You need only to tell me, sir." The redhead grinned. "I don't even need a name. I don't even need a reason. Just direct me and let me have my fun, and I will kill whoever." He giggled, eyes bright with mischief. "Your name will be the last name in their mind."
He held up his chainsaw. "Because when this slices into flesh, I see their memories like a theatre show. And his last memory-" Grell pointed to the box inside, "was of your name."
Once again, a fitting demise for someone he never really quite considered a friend. Hopefully, he wouldn't return in this world or his home, but there were still bigger and more annoying obstacles in his way. The Shinsengumi were still creating a lot of noise as usual, and it would be beneficial to remove them before they continued to leak out any information about Takasugi that could be ultimately detrimental to his plans.
"Always a touching finish, but-," and Takasugi paused to release another puff of smoke from between his lips, "how would you feel if I were to point you in the direction of our city's self-appointed law-enforcers, The Shinsengumi?"
"Sir you need to realize I don't feel anything. Just glee when I get to have a little fun with my job." Grell smiled brightly, smoothing creases from his civilian clothes. He would discard them much much later, with a corpse to make it seem as though the criminal had received justice for his crime.
"I can promise you I will go after them whole-heartedly but I cannot kill them all in a single sweep. Were I back home, yes. Here? No, I cannot. Too many people unaccustomed to what I am. I need as much public trust as possible."
The Soul Reaper giggled, offering a cheery grin. "Just give me a little time, and the tasks shall be accomplished to the best of my ability."
