WHO: Lelouch Lamperouge, Euphemia Li Britannia, and possibly Rolo Lamperouge, Lady Subaru, and any others who want to join in. WHAT: Euphie's long sleep finally ends WHERE: Crimson Dragon Inn WHEN: Day 64 (Backlogging)
The light touch of his lips on hers made her eyelids twitch. It was like a door had been opened within her mind, a door that flooded everything with light. She had been in the dark for so long. It was such a strange sensation. It was a feeling of being lost, wandering forever. But everything had been so out of touch and now, so far away. She couldn't recall that darkness that had clouded her mind.
Euphemia's eyes suddenly fluttered open, violet orbs gazing dazedly at the ceiling. She blinked slowly, confused, then turned her head lightly when she noticed Lelouch. She managed to smile.
"Le...leouch...?" She whispered, her voice slightly cracked and hoarse from lack of use.
Lelouch might have felt the need to be incredulous, suspicious, even, were he not so relieved to see his sister's eyes open again, to hear her voice again. Normally, he veiled the depth of his emotion from her. She could tell, anyway-- no one, save Nunally and C.C. knew his moods so well, though Subaru was learning remarkably fast-- but he still usually tried to hide it a little from her.
But now was now the time for that.
The step back was rescinded almost immediately as he wrapped his arms around her, eyes wide with surprise, and, yes, genuine happiness as he held her to him gently, all the strength stolen from his limbs by shock.
Euphie blinked at the embrace, the movement waking her more, pulling her from her groggy state. She smiled and returned the hug, still a little confused about what was going on. She couldn't... remember anything for some reason...
"Lelouch...? Are you okay?" She asked gently. He seemed so happy to see her awake and she could tell he had been very worried. This in turn worried her because Lelouch didn't often worry so openly.
A shuddering, relieved exhalation. She was alright. And, more than that, she didn't remember any of it, perhaps, he hoped, not even the nightmares.
For a moment longer, he stayed close, held her to him, a part of him never wishing to let go, but... But that was not his place to decide. And she was confused, and perhaps a little scared by his reaction. He could hear the worry in her voice.
And so, drawing back just enough, hands resting lightly on her shoulders, he gave her perhaps the brightest smile she had seen from him since the day his mother died as he nodded in answer to her question.

"Euphie! You're awake... Thank goodness... Euphie..."

"Yes, Euphie... I am. I'm better than okay."
