Jennifer hadn't been down to the beach since she'd arrived on the boat. So the fact that she felt drawn back there after so long shouldn't have been too surprising. She was and always had been a woman who enjoyed her fantasies; the sun reflecting on the ocean definitely fell into that category.

She hummed merrily as she walked on, her apron swaying lightly in the wind, and finally stopped upon seeing a handsome young man all by his lonesome on the beach.

"Hey! Hey, you there!" She called as she ran towards him. "Oh my, you must be new! Hello there, my name is Shibuya Miko but you can call me Hamano Jennifer or just Jennifer for short! Did you just get here? Did you know you have a friendly little book that will talk to you and maybe you have friends here - oh, I should say that 'here' is called Rivelata. It's very nice to meet you, what's your name?"

She smiled pleasantly, completely unaware of the fact that most normal people did not speak in such a hurried manner or babble on like she'd just done.

Homura blinked at her. He didn't think anyone could talk that much in one time and this was probably the first time anyone had ever made him do that. It made him smile slightly.

"I'm Homura, nice to meet you as well, Jennifer. Yes, I have become aware of this journal and its properties and no, I do not have friends here. Acquaintances maybe, but no friends. It's all right."

"Oh my well even if you say that, I definitely think we should fix that problem right now!" She decided and grabbed his one of his hands then pointed toward the city with the other. "Where would you like to go? What kind of people would you like to meet? I don't know many people either so we'll meet them together!"

For the first time in a long while, Homura was speechless. He was stunned that this woman would be so bold. Homura found it rather refreshing and... nostalgic, in a way.

For Jennifer's sake, he decided to go along with her. He really had nothing else to do.

"I only recently found myself a house, so I have not been in many other places nor seen many people except for those I have spoken with in the journal. How about you decide?"

"Hmmmmm.... Oh I'm terrible at decision-making like that!" Jennifer finally answered, giggling a little. "I know!" She slammed her balled fist into her open palm. "We'll walk through the city and learn all the shop names and see if we find anything interesting!"

What Jennifer failed to mention was that there was a lot to Rivelata now that the recent waves of arrivals had finally started settling in. For example, there was a candy shop, clinic, Husband's Alley and weapons store -- "stay away from those places" she warned helpfully -- as well as the Mongoose Bathhouse, Saitani-ya Spices, an apothecary, the Church of New World Religion, and a library. There was also an entire housing district and market district to enjoy, but her desire for window-shopping was easily satisfied there.

She was most enthused by the sights of Mendelssohn Orphanage, Eagle's Splendour, a bakery, the extremely popular Crimson Dragon but other bars and taverns as well with clever names that she always read aloud, as well as Moonflower Teas, Paradise Blossoms, ( ... )

At first, when Homura agreed to basically cruise the city and window-shop when appropriate, he thought there wouldn't be that much to see. It was an island that had looked rather small at first glance. He was proven wrong. Jennifer had taken him to probably every establishment this place had and they were surprisingly quite numerous. Who know that so many arrivals in the span of barely two months could change so much?

However, when she showed all that there was, they did not end up back at the beach. Instead, they were in a park.

"Oh my I think I may have just managed to get us a teensy weensy bit lost..."

Homura sighed, "That's alright. Why don't we find someone who knows how to get back?"

Wait. Didn't that one girl he had met before, Claire, provide him a map? He vaguely remembered sticking it into his journal. And so, he pulled out his journals and nearly sighed in relief when he found the map still in side. "Here, I just remembered that I have a map."

He pulled it out, unfolded it, and gave it to the young woman.
