Maybe there's a list of suspects already, if we look close enough. Haven't people tried it before? And she did live pretty close to a serial killer, if I remember correctly... I think his name was something that started with an "S."

Though from what I know of this 'Sylar' the two of them share a love/hate relationship. He seemed quite protective- unless he was only upset that I kidnapped the foolish girl because I got to her before he did.
