If you take a needle and jam it into the right part, it will remove all feeling in your leg. I don't know if you'll be able to move it again, but it might be worth it. If you want, I can find out where.

They will be. Takes time for poppy pod husks to methylate into codeine. First batches will be less potent anyway. Need something for the interim, tide me over.

If you need something this quickly, I suppose the only thing you really can do is boil some white willow bark. Primitive, but better than the nothing most people can offer.

Of course if there was a laboratory in the academy, more concentrated extractions could come much faster.

I've never heard of vicodin or morphine before. I could try bringing over the couple of potions I have left over, but I doubt they'll work since my dressspheres don't seem to.

Mmm... it's a lot harder to explain than I'd have thought! Dresspheres are sort of.... little glass orby things that are made up of people's memories. They look like jewelry, a little? They allow people who use them to be able to switch "jobs" and do things they couldn't before. Like, if I equip the white mage dress sphere, I can heal people, or if I use the black mage sphere, I can use aggressive magic and light bad things on fire--stuff like that.
