3rd Experiment

My insanity seems to have stabilized, for the most part. As a result, I'll be looking for a job. My skills are primarily in research and dissection, though, from the sound of things, scientific progress in a place like this isn't precisely common. That said, I am also a competent enough doctor and physician.

Of course, if anyone wants me to build a ( Read more... )

You know how to build wheelie chairs?

It's not as easy as it is in my world, but, yes, I do.

All right, that's pretty cool. I may have to commission you, it's been ages since I've spun in a wheelie chair.

I'm afraid I can't offer you a job unless you want to work as a life model, though.

I really was rather disappointed to find they don't have them here, but I suppose given the lack of other technology available, that's to be expected.

That's alright. I'm not expecting employment for one of my talents to be easy to find.

Might I inquire as to what a 'wheelie chair' is?

I suppose the more proper term for it would be "task chair", but, in essence, it is a mobile chair, which, in most cases, is also designed to be able to spin on an axis.

[Have some rough, but detailed sketches outlining a wheelie chair and its ability to spin.]

The wheels on the bottom are what allow it to move, hence the colloquial term, "wheelie chair".

It sounds intriguing. What purpose does it have? Aside from rolling as a small cart or wagon would.

For scientists such as myself it makes getting about a lab much easier, but for most, I suppose it's the mobility or freedom it offers over a normal chair. Much less work in moving it away from a desk or a table, much easier to adjust an angle or turn to a person next to you.

Excuse me sir, but are you perhaps a man of science?

Yes, I am.

... My, what interesting appendages you have on your head.

No, nothing so silly as that.

I'd like to dissect you...

Actually, I've always kind of wanted to try a wheelie chair. Medusa never let me sit in hers.

Oh? Is there a particular kind you'd like, Chrona?

Oh, well I wouldn't know about-

A red one. With racing stripes and rocket boosters.
