I have a 4 foot high snow bank at the top of my driveway because of how much Chuck plowed!!
Disgusting, just disgusting! Snow already!! I can't take it! We got 19 inches!! That's just too much!!! On October 29th!!!! It set a historical record. The other 3 times in history that it snowed in October, there were only trace amounts. This was just insane!!
Check out the pics from yesterday morning. Its crazy to see snow on the trees while they are still covered in leaves! There was some melting yesterday, but we still have a good 6 to 7 inches on the ground today.
I just found out today that the damage done by this snowstorm was worse than the extreme damage done at the end of August by Hurricane Irene--which was really bad. Power is still out for hundreds of thousands of people in the area and they probably won't have it back until Friday.
Also, the two giant grocery stores in town lost electricity over the weekend and all the meat, frozen food, and anything that needed refrigeration was lost. There was nothing they could do except throw it all away. Today they were still trying to restock the shelves. I think that is so sad. So many people can't afford food, and all that stuff just went into a dumpster.
And tomorrow, it will be in the upper 50s. Nuts. Just nuts.
