Except if I have a paper copy of a letter-which I can't get because it doesn't exist-how would I get it into the phone to fax it?

There is no termination letter because Blue Shield has not written one and will not write one.

Doctors' offices have faxes. I bet your doc's staff could fax it for you, once you get it.

This is why I support single-payor for primary health insurance. The amount of bureaucracy is just crazy-making to deal with if you understand it all and are healthy. It's absolutely terrible to expect sick people and people on heavy meds and people who just don't understand this stuff for whatever reason to try to sort it out.

I didn't get the "will NOT write one, ever" part. That's just wrong. I'm down to nothing to offer but sympathy. I have that in abundance, but it's of limited usefulness.

Computers can also send faxes, but if you don't have a scanner then facing a photo from the phone would be faster.

A friend of mine was treated for breast cancer a few years ago. It was clearly a strain on her, she had to drive far several times a week, she was weak and tired. She also had a flock of dogs who needed her attention.

Still, cancer is something that happens. like it or not. If it happens to you, you have to deal with it. Making it worse is just pointless.

I have no word for what you describe, so I'm going to paraphrase Bujold's Iselle (The Curse of Chalion). "It is not malice, but it might as well be."
