The morning after

Surgery went well again. This time I was more aware and I remember more of the prep and the surgery itself. This is not mush as I slept through maybe 60 persent of it accorging to the anasthesiologist. I had the same one, Dr. Arakaki. I also had my favorite surheon's assistant. The nurses and the anasthesiologist's assistant were all pleasant too. ( Read more... )

I'm glad that the breathing seems to have sorted itself out. Breathing is rather a vital function! I hope the recovery continues as smoothly as it has begun.

Yay for well-behaved bones!

When I was in the recovery area after nasal surgery, I had to be reminded a few times to breathe. That was outpatient surgery, though, and that phase passed fairly quickly.

The breathing thing may have been a reaction to anesthesia or some other drugs, everyone is different. And sometimes your body reacts differently from incident to incident.
