A drogerie is a store that sells shampoo, body oil, shower gel, suntan lotion, very small packages of tampons, deodorant, inexpensive and hygeinic cosmetics, baby food, and a wall of "natural foods." Drugs are bought at the Lekarna

They sell maple syrup in Europe?

Yes, they do. It's a funny old world. They also sell tomato sauce, potatoes, peanut butter, and corn on the cob. Among other things. Maple syrup and peanut butter require special knowledge to find, though.

When people asked if I was Russian in Korea, it was because they were hoping I was a prostitute. In Mongolia, they were just hoping they could switch to their second language because my Mongolian was terrible. I of course said no, because the best I can say of my Russian is that I know several words, and doggedly stuck it out with my terrible Mongolian. English just wasn't an option.
