Yesterday I gave blood: went to the teacher's recycled junk store in Santa Clara: had a Filipino lunch that I chose badly for (Emma and I were too hungry to choose well and we both chose things that we wouldn't have ever liked, go figure): tagged along as Emma got silk embroidery ribbon: and went to Ranch 99 and stocked up on Japanese vinegar,

I hadn't thought there might be a conflict between shipping at Ranch 99 and getting food from the food bank; do people really think "ethnic grocery store" means expensive?

I had a moment where I was feeling that a person might think it was a bit undeserving to run around the landscape in search of exotica, given how expensive gas is. But I did only do a bit of a detour to get there.
