I thought I was going to be able to bring good news of rain, but apparently that system is expected to form over Texas and bring 1-3 inches of rain from there east to New England. Beyond that, this dry spell is from the Arctic Oscillation, and that's not predictable more than two weeks out. (My favorite weather blogger posted about this today, which is where I got that bit of forecast: http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=2010)

That's an interesting weather blog. But it looks like no good news for anybody, even with that bit of rain for the Easterners.
