Livejournal should have a feature where they tell you if someone mentions your name, like they tell you if someone replies to your post or your comment.

Yes! I did find a mention of my name in a discussion between two people I don't know as well as I used to, and was very glad because it gave me an excuse to try and get back in touch, but that was pure serendipity.
