Maybe this is my blogging against racism

I'm having a lot of trouble with Afterwar. I think maybe it's because we aren't after war anymore, we're in war. Anyway, I sometimes work better to high-tension music, so I have the New Orleans Klezmer All-Stars playing ( Read more... )

This isn't Israel attacking the Palestinians; Hezbollah, which provoked this disaster, is a legitimate and major Lebanese party. And they wanted this war. There is very little to love in the conduct of Israel in this situation, but there is also little to love in the conduct of the Islamic radicals here--Hezbollah has certainly made the situation of the Palestinian Arabs much worse. With this attack and response, it seems to me that the Arab/Israeli war has entered a new phase. More later...

How did I give the impression I was talking about the last few days? Wherever that is, and I can't find it but I can't swear it's not there, it's sloppy writing and I'll fix it.

(I disagree with your analysis, but that's another thing I'll get into later, maybe).

Writing about this subject at this time makes current events the default.

BTW, consulting a tour guide would probably cover some of the practical matters of a trip to Europe; I generally think well of Frommer's books.

The lj user tag davidgoldfarb July 19 2006, 06:51:16 UTC
there is a personhead-shaped hole in my brain where the code for the lj-user tag belongs.

Um, did you have to look up that it was "the lj-user tag"? If not, then you know the code! Sheesh.

I mean, you know how to put in links, I can see some right in this post. So: start off making it like a link...the 'a href = "link"' stuff. For the link put the person's user name. Then go back and change "a href" to "lj user". The only tricky bit is remembering that it has to have a space in the middle instead of a hyphen.
