A bit before eleven-thirty last night my son called me to say that purple car (my father's car) had been causing him adventures and he thought it was driving well enough right then but he was on his way from Oakland, so . . . that can take a Dave Carter song and place it in their hymnal gets my vote for a Good Church.

Gentle Arms of Eden, written by Dave Carter and performed by him and Tracy Grammer was put into their hymnal a few years back. Dave passed, in completely unexpected way (was on a trip east, went jogging, came back to hotel room, lay down on the floor, woke up once and told Tracy, "Baby I think I just died. It's wonderful...." and then he died. Heart malfunction (not a heart attack, but probably an arrhythmia, doesn't really matter because of the outcome).

We've got all but one of his CDs, and Tracy Grammar has gone on to do wonderful work inspired by him.

Are the CDs to look for. If you like vibrant folk and story songs, they're wonderful.

And it's also Very Good that the raptor got out okay without being slashed by the window or killed.
