red-ringed, also known as the red-ring-of-death. Due to a poor design of the hardware, microsoft put the general processor, UNDER the disk drive.... overheat central. It's not his fault,nor was it somehting he did, but it happened when he was playing it.

So now it's being sent in for repairs/replacement. All I'm saying is that I'm sending in my green halo version x-box, if I get back the general white one i'll be pissed. all I'm saying is that if they open it to get to the hardware, then they can put new hardware into the halo case.

A coworker of mine had the same problem. She said hers was gone for nearly 2 months once she sent it out.

considering that he plays it ten-times more then I do, it's no loss for me to not have it for a month or two.
