What does one do, given a big bunch of collards? I went south for inspiration.
Dinner yesterday was collard greens, hush puppies, and fried chicken tenders. Before anyone makes comments about "soul food," I just want to say that, to me, this is just -food.- Good food, yes, but these are flavors from my early childhood.
