So you are light and he is darkness? Two sides of the same coin. I can see how such a separation may not last, but how did it happen to begin with?

My old Master separated us a long time ago because I wouldn't give into the darkness. Since I couldn't get the χ-blade for him, he removed the darkness from my heart and left me with another Keyblade Master. I guess he wanted me to become stronger so we could fight someday.

Splitting us apart caused me to forget everything, and there's no way I could've fought him back then.

And this Vanitas, what exactly is he capable of doing? What should we look out for?

Well, he used to be way stronger than me. The first time I fought him, I could've died, but one of my friends saved me before it was too late.

[Granted, he's gotten much stronger since then.]

I don't know how strong he'll be if we join together, but he's really tough on his own. Vanitas can use a bunch of powerful magic, teleport, sink into the ground and attack from below, and create copies of himself.

I see. And there's really no way of getting the two of you back together without creating this χ-blade?

If you were able to be separated without causing harm, can't the same be done to become whole again?

Even if there was another way, there's no way Vanitas would go along with it. He's his own person now, and he treats me like some kind of cast-off. Why would he wanna go back to me when he thinks I'm weak?

Still, I think creating the χ-blade really is the only way. Xehanort probably knew that when he split us apart.

He needs to in order to make the χ-blade doesn't he? You're not a complete cast-off to him even if it is for harmful means.

But it looks like you'll be safe from him for now. You have plenty of allies who will be watching your back.

Yeah. As long as I'm careful, I think it'll be okay. That doesn't mean we can put it off forever, though.

He's really stubborn, and we came really close to forging it already. Right now, it feels like I'm walking on thin ice.

It sounds inevitable that it will happen, unless one of you leaves this village. It might be best to come up with a backup plan should the χ-blade be created. Say, like having a group of allies that will know how to respond the moment it happens.

Telling us that he's dangerous and not publicly going into detail what he can do, gives us very little to work with. That little detail you told me earlier, it might help if people knew.

I guess you're right. I better go add that stuff so they know just what they'll be dealing with...
