You know, this place isn't so bad. Even if it's a prison, at least it's peaceful, and there's a lot of room to explore. Maybe one of these days I'll go check out the forest or the mountains, but right now I'm fine with sticking around the village. Aqua just got here, anyway, and maybe Terra'll show up soon. If he does, we've already got a house set

Yup! Terra's one of my best friends back home. Him and Aqua.

But how'd that happen? Did it have anything to do with darkness?

... Vast is a good word for it. While not physically large, Earth does have a great variety of things in it, from biological to anthropological.

Anthropological? What's that mean?

Anthropology is the study of people and their cultures. It is less based on what makes up a person physically and more what makes them a person by their reaction to the world around them and how they adapt.

So it's about what's inside a person instead of what's outside. I think I get it now.

It's, well... it's big.

Well, it takes a long time to get from one side to the other. And... [He's not really sure how to describe his world, so he pauses for a second before he goes on.] There's something called a fonbelt in the sky, and it looks kind of like different colored glass rocks.

Whoa, I've never heard of anything like that before! So what's the fonbelt do? Is it some kinda protection?

[Well hey, this is a hobby that Kratos can relate to. He's out at night, more tense than usual thanks to Mithos arriving, so when he sees a shadow on the roof he immediately stops and looks up to see... a kid he's seen around before. Maybe.

He notices that he's staring at the stars, though, so he relaxes himself and looks up at the sky from the ground.]

They are different from the ones in your world, are they not?

[Oh, he wasn't expecting company! Give him a moment, and Ven sits upright, looking down at Kratos with a sheepish smile.]

Yeah, they are pretty different. It's strange because in all the worlds I've visited, the sky's always looked the same. I don't mind, though.

You have traveled to different worlds? [And the stars were the same?]

Sure have! At first I was trying to find a friend of mine, but then these monsters called Unversed started causing trouble left and right. Even when my friends wanted me to go home, I couldn't turn back.

And, well, I wanted to make new friends, too.
