Next manifesto, a change!

First up, my most recent manifesto:

Touya and Yuki from CCS and Tsubasa

Next, thoughts on writing.

I'm tremondously jealous of sailormac because she has the willpower to sit down and take a couple of months and just finish a fic before releasing it. I feel so flighty in exchange. So, I'm going to try to change my style a bit. I'm working on several long ( Read more... )

I'm definitely flighty on comparision; I think that's why I usually stick with short one-shots and drabbles-- I can't get myself to sit still enough to write a long, complete fic. <3 I'm planning on one right now, so hopefully I'll actually see it through.

Good luck writing!

...i would LOVE to see you start writing longer things and investing more in a story. your oneshots are very good, and i think expanding your horizons would be beneficial for you.

i still can't believe how young you are - you write on a much higher level than i did when i was your age.

*grins* I used to write epic-length fics (... that got nowhere, but I was twelve. ^^;)and then I discovered oneshots... so I've completely forgotten how to write long fics! This will definitely be interesting, that's for sure. ^_^

I'm trying to plan a fic out and I've forgotten how much effort it takes to get Person A to Person B and both of them into Situation C without making it seem forced and actually getting a long-term fic idea is hard by itself. Much kudos to writers who plan lengthy fics.

*hugs* Thanks for the kind words. ^^ It means a lot, coming from a writer I admire and *g*, I hope I get better with time or I'll be really stuck. ^^;

For me, writing is an interactive process. I need to be able to get a reaction, or else I feel I've failed.

I completely agree; I didn't get much feedback on the last thing I wrote, and I felt completely deflated. I don't write so much in fandoms where there aren't many fans, because there's no feedback.
