I've never been a big believer in all of the fuss over so-called "vanity sizing". Everyone claimed that everyone was doing it, but I hadn't seen much evidence - I've been roughly a US size 28, sometimes maybe a 26W, for at least five to eight years.

And if that wasn't enough to frustrate us, consider this: Crystal Renn, the author of Hungry became a plus-size model when she stopped starving herself and let her body be it's natural size. And you know what her dress size is? Size 12. So, size 12 - the average woman's size - is considerd plus-size?!?! No wonder we have unrealistic expectations of our figures if the norm is consider "plus". Yeah, it's a pet peeve of mine.

If they take in consideration of my height, that helps a lot with the short-waisted thing. But most clothing manufacturers see all women as the same height, same torso shape....which means for me, I mostly have to stick to clothes (other than skirts) that dont have a set waist.
